A wire field name that may carry model reasoning/thinking output on an OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions response.

Remarks

Neither name is part of OpenAI's official Chat Completions spec (OpenAI hides reasoning on Chat Completions and surfaces it only on the Responses API). They are de-facto, provider-specific conventions: reasoning_content originates with legacy vLLM (≤0.8) and the DeepSeek API, while reasoning is what Ollama's /v1 and current vLLM (post-rename) emit.
